Three teens are dead in South Carolina
Three teens are dead in South Carolina after a shooting. The incident took place in Columbia, South Carolina. Sheriffs approached the scene of the shooting at an abandoned house after two p.m. Sunday. Four teens were chilling and hanging out when two people showed up and opened fire on them.
The murderers were looking for blood as they chased the victims to the backyard and proceeded shooting. They were found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital. Three of the four, who were ages sixteen and seventeen, later died at the hospital.
All of those murdered went to Eau Claire High School and the surviving victim went to a middle school. Security was provided at the school on Monday in response to the tragedy from Sunday. This was an act of senseless violence from two seventeen year-olds who attended the same school as the other three.
More Information on the Situation
In addition, this all happened over a situation from years ago that everyone took part in. Jahkeem Griffin and Karlos Gibson were arrested. The injured fourteen year-old was sent back home from the hospital. All deceased victims were Jakobe Fanning, Caleb Wise, and Dre’von Riley. The investigation continues as more arrests could happen.

The Day After
As a result, this left loved ones comforting Fanning’s mother, Ciera Adams, at their house on Saddletrail Road. Adams was downhearted, grieving with her family in their open garage space throughout the morning.
She had no words to let out, all she wanted was her son back. Eau Claire High School staff member, Linda Maxwell, spoke greatly of the deceased teens. She considered them as family of her own.
The Community’s Efforts
In conclusion, well received names in the local community joined the Richland sheriff. It’s an effort of calling upon the community to act on this situation.
There’s no information on how the weapons were received but gunowners in the city often leave guns in their cars which makes it easier for them to be stolen. Columbia had 100 vehicles broke in to last week. This is a returning issue in the city. A previous shooting happened and nine teens and adults were injured. It took place at an event featuring high schools of the city district. City officials stepped in to make solutions to the gun violence going on. Programming for people not in school started by churches, schools, and governments.
Because of teens not being schooled, they play a huge part of the violence going on in the city of Columbia. Lastly, which is why the programs will be in full-effect.
