Actress Tia Mowry, known for the TV series “Sister, Sister,” recently opened out about her life after divorcing her 15-year partner, Cory Hardict. With the finalization of their divorce in April 2023, Mowry started a new chapter in her life. She took to Instagram April 3, 2024 to reveal the details of her journey of self-discovery.
Mowry conveyed the roller coaster of emotions she went through while getting over her separation in a moving video montage. She compared the procedure to starting a new chapter in her life in a heartfelt voiceover. One without a manual that fits all situations and full of subtleties. Mowry captured moments of delight and self-discovery despite the difficulties of separation in a series of candid photos, exuding courage and contentment.” Tia describes the divorce as a “whirlwind.”
“I found out through the process that divorce isn’t the place where we arrive, it’s entering a new chapter in life with many nuances, and no one-size-fits-all handbook,” she adds. “One moment you’re relieved, feeling like you’ve conquered something significant, then suddenly emotions hit you all over again. It’s a side of divorce that isn’t often discussed, especially when there are kids involved.”
Tia and Cory share two children — their 12-year-old son Cree and 5-year-old daughter Cairo. She included that she wanted to be a role model for her children, showing them what resilience and self-care looks like.
Cory Hardict’s Side of The Divorce
Originally, the rupture between the two was filed on Oct. 3, 2022. In November 2022, it seemed that Cory had been reminiscing on his lengthy marriage with Tia Mowry. Hardrict went live on Instagram Live shortly after Mowry disclosed to the world when she decided to file for divorce. During the broadcast on Thursday night, the 43-year-old appeared to talk a lot even though he did not say anything. Tia Explains Why Her Kids Were Partial Reason For The Divorce
“A part of my decision was also for them,” Tia said in a June 28 interview with HelloBeautiful. “For them seeing their mother walk in truth. I feel like it’s a great lesson for them because it was not an easy decision. It was one of the hardest decisions that I had ever had to make in my entire life.” She continued, “But if they see that mommy can do it, that mommy, no matter what people say, no matter, even if there’s some sort of doubt, whatever, mommy pushed through.” Tia Mowry calls her split a “whirlwind” in her statement.
