As quickly as the news of Trump’s arrest in the week of August no sooner was the news of his release on bond — 20 minutes after his arrest in fact.
Pleading not guilt to the various charges presented, Trump was given a day to surrender himself to the Fulton County jail. Per the agreements of his release, he has complied and posted the agreed $200,000 bond. However, to cover the costs of his bond he is working with a local Atlanta company called Foster Bail Bonds LLC. So far 10% has gone towards his bond.
CEO of Foster Bail Bonds, Charles Shaw, confirmed his contract with the ex-president. He gave a statement of their involvement on the same week of Trump’s surrender to arrest.
On the Thursday of his arrest, he followed the common procedures. This includes taking a mug shot, fingerprint scans, and signing his bond agreement. Given Trump’s financial backing, he exited the jail only 20 minutes later after arriving via a private jet.
More similar to a visit than an arrest, Trump arrived at the Fulton County jail to be officially documented as arrested for the public records and quickly left.
Trump Trial Date Clash
For charges of election interference, the judge overseeing his case set a future trial date for March 4, 2024. Originally, special council Jack Smith, proposed a January 2 court date, however, was rejected the notion of a “speedy court trial.”

Typically the presentation of evidence at the trial could take up to a maximum of six weeks. Thus, if attending a January court date Trump would miss a majority of his beginning campaign.
Still wishing to compete in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, Trump took to posting again on social media about the trial. This post comes after his agreement to the bond terms. Including the stipulation to not use social media to be involved in posts that threaten or talk about members included in the trial.
In response to the suggested January trial, Trump posted:
Such a trial, which should never take place due to my First Amendment Rights, and massive BIDEN CORRUPTION, should only happen, if at all, AFTER THE ELECTION. The same with other Fake Biden Indictments. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!
In his court attendance, Trump faces three conspiracy counts and a corrupt obstruction charge.
