Drone Attack Committed
After this unexpected drone attack that took place in Jordan, the US has been trying to devise a plan to strike back. This drone attack took the lives of three brave US soldiers, who did not see this attack coming whatsoever. It is terrifying how one little mix-up led to the death of three and injured more than 40 other soldiers.
Therefore, it is safe to say that after this impromptu attack, there will be more security measures placed to ensure something like this does not happen again. The hope is that it does not occur again, but tensions continue to rise.
US Approves Plan to Retaliate
There is certainly a retaliation underway that the US is planning and has already approved. This drone attack was a huge mistake, and the US will not let it go lightly. Therefore, they are going to retaliate, by striking Iranian targets, in order to show the US will not back down.
Defense secretary Lloyd Austin told CBS the “U.S. won’t tolerate attacks on American troops.” Therefore, it did not take long for this plan to be approved, and it will be taking place as soon as possible.

These strikes are planned throughout the area that surrounds Syria and Iraq, whereas there are multiple Iranian targets that are going to be hit with these strikes. However, Iran has continuously denied that they took any part in the drone strike.
However, there was a lot of proof that surrounded the allegation that they were behind this heinous attack. The US will certainly do everything they can to avoid civilians, as they do not deserve to be hit by these strikes.
The Future of These Tensions
It is obvious that tensions are at an all-time high. It seems that nothing can decrease these tensions, and it will certainly take a major peace treaty to get it resolved. However, the likelihood of that occurring is very low considering the amount of damage that has been done already.
Citizens of the US are terrified as to how this is going to turn out, and the last thing that is wanted is war.
