Every four years the Electoral College decides who will lead the country for the next four years. He or she has multiple duties. Throughout the nation’s history, most have been working presidents, whereas, others like George W. Bush and Donald John Trump, who were just “along for the ride.”
His or her responsibilities are many. The president is responsible for overseeing the legislature and has the power of a veto. They are responsible for establishing foreign and domestic policies. The president is the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. military. They must be informed and perform actions of governance daily.
To assist the president in the performance of his or her duties, the CIA presents a multi-page document daily called the “President’s Daily Brief” (PDB). It is a highly classified document and only the president and his or her closest advisers have access.
During his presidency, Barrack Obama read the PDB thoroughly six days a week. Initially, Conversely, Trump had it read to him two or three times a week, and later less frequently. Americans recently learned that after he lost the 2020 election he refused to read it at all. Instead, Trump was too busy planning the January 6th insurrection.
It is well known that Trump denies facts. The word from the White House is that he failed to take the PDB seriously; calling much of it “fake information.” Many believe he was unable to comprehend the information.
If a person knows anything about the workings of the U.S. government, they are aware of the importance of the PDB. It contains the information necessary for the president to govern effectively. Sadly, Trump cannot or chooses not to read. This is another reason why he was the worst president in the nation’s short history.
Trump will forever be known as America’s biggest mistake. A desperate Republican Party surrendered to the least qualified man in the world to lead a nation of 330 million people. A second term for Trump would have destroyed the United States’ future once and for all.

In 2016, Americans learned that Trump did not want to win the election. The information came from his own people. He was literally dumbfounded when the media announced that he had won the Electoral College. Not only was he unprepared to lead the nation, but he also had no desire to do so. And he made no effort to prepare for the job at hand.
Trump did what he knew how to do: pretend to be a billionaire who plays golf, parties at posh resorts with other old, white men. He watched television and ate junk food. Add to this, Trump’s need to be loved, something he never had as a child, so he continued to hold his embarrassing hate rallies. Essentially, the man spent four years defiling the White House.
Many Americans believe that he will run again in 2024. Many people do not agree. He does not want the responsibility and continues his refusal to read “the Presidency for Dummies.”
Legally he cannot run again. The failed coup on January 6 was planned, aided, and executed with the full knowledge and approval of a sitting president.
Article three of the 14th Amendment:
“No Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, […] to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
Americans should all be celebrating the accomplishments of a real President, Joe Biden.
