One Survivor in Deadly Crash in Wisconsin
A deadly crash between a tractor-trailer and a minivan leaves a toddler as the only survivor. The crash led to 9 people dead in total. The crash that took place on the Highway 95 in Wisconsin had been reported to officials around 7:53 am on Friday morning. Unfortunately, this crash led to the child’s family to die, all of whom are a part of the Amish community.
Allen Gross, a family friend of the surviving toddler, Micha left a statement for people:
“It was just a miracle that this young man is still even in existence,” said Gross. “He was just ejected from the van and I’m thinking that’s probably what saved his life.”
It’s one of those things you just wish you could press rewind on.
At the time of the crash, it seems that Micha was ejected from the van; Which is what seem to have saved his life. The truck driver was also found dead at the scene. However, there isn’t much insight as to how the crash had happened; There is an ongoing investigation pending.
Wisconsin Officials Trying to Find Answers
The events before the crash were short-lived and happened so fast, and officials are finding answers. The driver of the truck was traveling down the 95 Highway when it struck the van. Luckily, during the impact the 2-year-old was ejected from the van and a bystander was able to help him to safety.
For which, being ejected from the car saved that little boys life, but he still lost his family. Nathaniel Jahn had been pulling up to the intersection when the events happened. He will undoubtedly remember this day forever. Jahn rushed over to the vehicles and from under the wreckage of the truck he heard a whimper and a cry. Only to find the boy had been thrown from the van.
The little boy had been brought to the local hospital to get his injuries treated, however those have not been disclosed. This crash is marking one of the deadliest in the state, leaving many at a loss.
During the time of Jahn saving the boy, there was a young women close to him barley alive. Sadly, by the time he was able to get back there was nothing else he could do. After the police arrived, the van had bursted into flames.
After serving two tours with the Marines in Iraq, Jahn, of Neillsville, said he never thought he would see anything like this in Wisconsin. The former Marine now a land surveyor believes there was a reason he was there today.
I think God put me there for a reason.
This is something that Jahn did not expect to see on Friday on his way to work, but this day will be with him forever.
More Fellow Statements
“Kathy and I are saddened today by the fatal crash that occurred in Clark County, tragically taking nine lives,” Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers said on X.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of all those involved, as well as the first responders who worked quickly to provide support at the scene.
It is unquestionably upsetting when people lose loved ones because others aren’t driving safley. Many people feel for these grieving families, as they try to find their way out of the darkness. Giving them time to grasp and understanding on things before surrounding them is the best thing.
