School Buses in America
Many parents are constantly worrying about the safety of their children while they are away from home. Furthermore, ensuring the safety of these children is of upmost priority for every school in America. Therefore, as much as parents do not like sending their children to school on a school bus, sometimes it has to be done.
Most of the time, it is because both parents work, and have no means of taking their children to school themselves. The last thing parents want to hear is that the bus their child was on, was involved in a horrific crash. Unfortunately, that was the case for parents today.
Crash Kills 5
There was a tragic crash that has taken place in a rural area in Illinois. This area is a very tight-knit community, and it is incredibly devastating when losing lives in this way. A school bus that was transporting children, veered onto oncoming traffic and collided with a semi-truck carrying sand at the time. As a result, all lives were taken.
This includes 3-year-old Andrew Miller, 3-year-old Noah Driscoll, 5-year-old Maria Miller, 57-year-old Angela Spiker, and 72-year-old David Coufal. So many lives that were lost because of this terrifying crash. However, it is still unclear at this time as to why the school bus veered onto oncoming traffic.
There is a hope that there was no type of impairment by the bus driver whilst they were driving the children. The parents are beyond angered, sad, and they want answers as to what exactly happened and why. However, it may be very difficult to obtain that information, as there is very little information to begin with. It is very rare for things of this nature to occur in this area of Illinois.
The Future of This Tragedy
It is unclear what the future of this tragedy may hold. It is also unclear what new information may be revealed as the days go on. However, answers are definitely wanted and needed for the community. This should have never happened, and there is a hope something of this nature does not occur again.
