Benny Blanco has started to admit and express that his “next goal” in life is to marry and have a family with Selena Gomez. Blanco made the confession during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” on Tuesday, May 14. The 36-year-old song producer opened up about his love with Gomez, 31, and how he sees their romance progressing. He even shared what he did on the couple’s first Valentine’s Day together. This included renting out a full movie theater and purchasing all of his girlfriend’s favorite dishes. After Benny Blanco finished telling the shows host Howard Stern about this information, he said:
You are some boyfriend, you’re knocking it out the park. I see love here, I’m predicting marriage.
“You and me both,” replied Blanco.
Furthermore, the couple have been together for almost a year, and it seems that Blanco is already hearing wedding bells. However, at the same time, it is hardly surprising give that the two have known one other for years, having collaborated with J Balvin and Tainy on the 2019 single “I Can’t Get Enough.” Meaning, despite only dating for about a year, they have known each other for many more, which explains their strong relationship.
What the Future Holds
Additionally, Benny Blanco added that children are a major ‘YES’ for his future with Selena Gomez. Not only because he loves children in general, but he also has several godchildren and nephews who he adores and inspire him to have his own children. Blanco’s answer to having children prompted host Stern to question when he would propose to his girlfriend Selena Gomez. Benny Blanco had no definite response to the proposal-related question; not a day, location, month, or even a ring. However, he did mention:
I take everything a day at a time, I just know that when I look at her… I’m always just like, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this. That’s what I always say to her.
Moreover, despite not knowing or confirming what the future holds for them as a couple. Blanco did bring up their upcoming anniversary. He noted that the couple’s first anniversary is approaching, which is “right around her birthday on July 22.” He also mentioned that he has “some really good stuff” planned for the actress, singer, and Rare Beauty founder, Selena Gomez.
Truly “My Best Friend”
In addition, throughout the interview, Blanco praised Selena as one of the coolest, friendliest, and sweetest people he knows. He remarked how people usually tell him that you know when you meet your best friend, and for him, Selena genuinely is “his best friend.” They not only laugh all day, but she is also his main inspiration:
I get home from work, I think I had a good day. I’m like, ‘What did you do?’ ‘Oh I just filmed this thing with Meryl Streep and then I went to a fundraiser and now I’m recording.’ My day sounds like s— every day compared to hers.
Furthermore, Benny Blanco isn’t the only one who raves about his relationship. But Selena has also stated on multiple occasions how much she values her relationship with Benny Blanco. Selena has stated that he is absolutely everything in her heart, and that he is the best thing that has ever happened to her. On top of that, Selena stated that he treats her better than any other human on the earth, which is quite lovely.
Moreover, both have mentioned how their relationship is simple, but honest and truthful, which is what makes it better and more authentic. In fact, Stern mentioned during the conversation that Blanco is a genuinely lovely person, despite all of the negative comments he receives online. Stern remarked that if Benny Blanco could pull of that enormous stunt for their Valentine’s Day, imagine what he can accomplish for his marriage proposal with Selena Gomez.
Overall, everyone can truly see, and capture, the love the couple expresses through their photos and comments regarding one another. Hopefully, in spite of what the future holds, they can both grow together and reach that point in their relationship where they are both mutually ready to take the next steps.
