The invasion and war on Ukraine have yet to end. Beginning in late February of this year, Russian insurgents were ordered by President Vladimir Putin to Invade and take the country’s capital, Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy readied his military to defend the country with no plans of surrender.
After seeking help from NATO partners, Ukraine became a topic of discussion for the United Nations as they discussed ways they could help the best they can without losing further lives in the process. The countries seemed content with helping but only along the lines of the NATO Treaty as Ukraine is a NATO partner but is not guaranteed military protection from the alliance’s founding treaty.
Ukraine being a partner of NATO means that trade options are discussed and explored amassing profit for partnering countries and further building their individual economy. But, the effects of the Russian Invasion have reduced Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and boosted inflation drastically worsening policy trade-offs in central banks between countries globally.

The countries defending Ukraine do not have the interest of the country as their first thought but rather, they notice how this invasion and war can exacerbate their own economy in detrimental ways. Death and destruction, babies being birthed in underground makeshift hospitals, and families being split up are terrible but; A leader of a country will always have the interest of their country first.
Governmental bodies banded together to place sanctions on Russia hoping Putin would back down, but he did not. A man who has decided to take the lives of innocent families with reckless abandon is a man that is far past the fear of sanctions. These Countries include the USA, the United Kingdom, France, New Zealand, Canada, the continent of Australia, and many more providing funding to help rebuild and address emerging problems in the Eastern European country in the midst of its unwarranted war.
Now that Ukraine is in disarray and Putin has no plans of slowing down the onslaught, many believe it would be best for Ukraine to surrender to reduce the risk of further death and destruction to the country. Just recently an Ally of Putin recently lost his daughter in a car blast that has been called a “probing” and a “vile, cruel crime,” but Zelenskyy denies involvement. With this news, it can only get worse for Ukraine as Putin is tyrannical, unwavering, and unhinged in his quest for terrorism
As the momentum moves in opposition to Russia due to exhausted military resources and massive loss of troops, Zelenskyy will not let up the defense of his beloved country and will continue to give hope to his citizens, as without hope there can be no perseverance.
