Many residents of Chicago are mourning the death of their friend, colleague, and loved one Frank Kross. He had served on the Central States SER Board of Directors for 22 years — since 2000. He was also a member of their SERCO Board of Directors since 2011.
“Mr. Kross retired as President of Labe Bank of Chicago. SER was very fortunate to have Mr. Kross who generously offered his financial and administrative expertise during his tenure. He loved SER and was very dedicated to SER’s mission of helping families and strengthening the communities we serve through education and employment,” stated Eva Garza President and CEO of SER Metro-Detroit.
Upon hearing the news, many people said, “I’m sorry to hear this news. He will be missed.” One person stated, “Our condolences to a great gentleman [and] very active member of Metro & National SER who served with distinguished for a number of years.”
Another person wrote, “Wishing SER’s family Peace & Comfort during this difficult time! We are going to miss our great friend & colleague who kept us all on our toes.” They added that they wanted to extend their prayers and thoughts to his family.
On the Central States SER website, Kross was quoted saying, “I work with SER because they’re truly changing lives. The SER team understands what their customers need and sticks with them to make sure they succeed.”
Kross had been ill for a little while though his death was sudden. Details about his death and funeral arrangements have not been announced at this time.
He was a beloved member of the community who will be greatly missed. May his family and friends find peace during these trying times.
The staff at Chicago Leader wants all of his loved ones to know they are in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.
