There Is An Age Requirement To Begin Work
Children should not have to work pretty much anywhere, especially when they are below the minimum age to begin working. The fact that things like this can happen in the shadows is absolutely horrifying and is something that should immediately be addressed and should be fixed.
Children should be enjoying their youth, going out to the park with their friends, and doing such things of that nature. They should not have to be working for someone else, especially at their age. This is why this act is absolutely atrocious, and the manager and corporate should certainly be held responsible for this.
Children Working at McDonald’s at 2 A.M.
There were children that were caught working at a McDonald’s until 2 a.m. As unbelievable as that may sound, it is, unfortunately, the case in this situation. In fact, it is more common than people may believe. Over 300 minors, including two 10-year-olds, were found working at McDonald’s later and longer than the law permits, according to a Department of Labor investigation. This is outrageous, and this goes to show that children are being taken advantage of, especially in these environments. This is incredibly illegal in the U.S., and that goes to show that many companies do not seem to care about the laws in America.

Is There Anything Being Done About This?
It seems that there are a lot of initiatives focused on helping children that are being taken advantage of. In February, the Biden administration announced an initiative focused on child labor, targeting industries that employ low-wage and migrant workers who are more frequently exploited.
It is incredibly unfortunate to see the amount of companies that are exploiting children, and are putting them in hazardous areas. The hope is that child labor can decrease around the U.S. and around the world.
