The body of an unidentified man was found unresponsive in the stairway of a CTA Blue Line station in the South Loop on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
A CTA employee discovered an unresponsive man while walking down the stairs at the station at the 500 block of South Lasalle Street at 1:00 a.m. CDT. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chicago Police Department has opened a death investigation into the incident. He appears to be between the ages of 25-35. There was no apparent trauma to the body, according to the police.
Details on his death have not yet been released by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The body has not been identified as stated by police. Detectives from Area Three are investigating.
