How Many Women Make a Difference in Your Life?

The Women That I Love Who Love Me

There are a lot of women that make a difference in my life. The most important is my little sister. Although she is not yet considered a woman she is still a young woman and I love her. If not for my sister I would not see the world the way that I do.

Whenever I come across a situation where I would need an opinion from a girl I always go to her. Nobody in the world is more of a friend to me than my sister. You have to let the young generation of women know that they are appreciated.

Another very controversial woman in my life was my grandmother. I love and miss my grandmother so much. When she was still around we used to call her Mema.

Grandma Eva: more than a woman

We loved Mema but when I think about her, I feel like everyone took advantage of her. The only time people would really need her was for her money. I only got a chance to tell her that I love her when she was in the hospital.

The last thing we got to watch together was the movie, “Mr. And Mrs. Smith.” When I told Mema that I loved her I had a feeling that she knew what I meant. I never meant to make her feel like less of a person or not as important to me.

Brother From Another Mother

Another woman that means a lot to me and has made a difference in my life is my brother’s mom. Although I never knew her as much as my brother did I still love her.

I love her because she is my brother’s mom and I know he cares for and loves her very much. I respect her for that reason because my brother is a lovely young man, and I love him like nobody else.

Other Grandma

Another woman that has made an influence on my life is my other grandmother we used to call her Gram. I loved Gram a lot. When I and my sister were kids Gram would come over occasionally and take us to the movies.

I loved every second of those days. Getting to see my grandmother who I don’t see too often and her taking us out for the movies and quality time was the best. When Mema passed away from the stroke me and my sister were sent to go live with Gram.

She lived in a small apartment and yeah, the apartment was a little messy but it was still home. I and my sister stayed there until DCFS came and declared the place unfit for raising children and took my sister and put her into foster care. As for me, they told me that I could either stay with Gram or decide to do my own thing.

The only reason I left Gram’s house to go to be with my dad at Mema’s house was that he had called me and asked me to help him clean up her house. So a day or so later I made my way to Mema’s house which was now my dad’s because she had left it to him in the will.

Auntie Lean, Ain’t that mean

womenMy great-aunt also played an important role in my life. She played a major role in my life because my grandmother Mema had made her the person who would take care of me and my sister if anything were to happen to her.

So when Mema had a stroke my sister was taken to my great aunt’s house. Furthermore, since I was still only 17 at the time I was expected to take care of myself and the dog that my dad gave me.

Pretty soon after Mema passed away my great-aunt came to pick up me and my dog from Mema’s home. There at my great aunt’s house (we used to call her “Lean”) we stayed there and sometimes we would have our differences, and she would call the police frequently for small petty reasons. So we had to be moved to my grandmother Gram’s house at that point through DCFS.

The Love A Woman Brings

I know that most of the things I said and did at Lean’s house were wrong and I’m really sorry for that. Maybe one day I’ll be able to make some money and go to her house with some apology gifts and let her know that I love her for giving us a place to stay when our grandmother died and that I’m sorry.
