Jonathan Hill, 23, snatched a 7-year-old girl from Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. Once he had her in his custody, Hill allegedly hit the young girl and sexually assaulted her in a nearby building on South Coles.
As the kidnapper was dragging her by her arm to the building he claimed he was talking the child to her mother. Someone witnessed this activity and called the police. When police arrived, the little girl, who was crying for her mother, told police “he stole me.” She was immediately taken to the hospital for a checkup and an interview.
Allegedly, Hill told police the girl was “for the day and his wives were for the night.” The kidnapping occurred yesterday after 5 p.m. on 76th Street and Coles Avenue. The location was close to an elementary school. The girl was playing at the park with her older brothers. They walked away for a moment when the suspect snatched the little girl.
When police arrived, the man had his victim in a second-floor apartment. He was engaging in lewd acts in front of the child when he was apprehended.
Hill has been charged with kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault. He is being held without bond.
