Many Americans’ hearts remain heavy in the aftermath of the discovery of Gabby Petito’s body. Many believe the 22-year-old woman was murdered by her fiance Brian Laundrie.
For many people, it is no surprise that this happened as the world is an evil place, and many think the worst when they turn on the news. But, for some, they will not saturate their mind with the horrors and terrors performed on innocent humans. Acceptance of behavior is the denial of accountability and anyone no matter their status must be held accountable.
Petito remained in routine contact with her family when traveling. So it was no surprise that they became concerned when check-ins ceased. She went missing at the beginning of September, and Laundrie returned to their home shortly after — but not for long.
If Laundrie is innocent, fleeing from the authorities does not help his case. In the end, him being the culprit would make the crime more sickening, anger-inducing even. Live news at one point reported him as missing which many believe to be outrageous. First, he returned home without Petito, whom he was traveling with, then, refused to answer questions to the police about his missing fiance.
Soon after he left home without his wallet or phone, which makes onlookers of the situation suspect him even more, especially when his fiance is missing and he was likely the last one to have seen her.
With that being said, it is fair to say that he is not merely missing but on the run as he has now become a person of interest. If he was innocent why did he not call and report Petito’s death, not calling does not look good for him? An innocent man would not run and leave his belongings making it difficult to reach him. Maybe it is his own guilt, but a court of law can only be the true judge of that.
Petito died of strangulation. She was murdered and she deserves justice. The hunt for Laundrie is underway, an arrest warrant is now out for him and Local and federal authorities are searching a 25-000 Florida-acre nature reserve for him.
