Recreational Marijuana and its Primary Use
Recreational Marijuana is something that is actually fairly new and has been slowly getting legalized across the nation. There are many people that are not in favor of this, as many claims that people can easily abuse recreational marijuana. However, this marijuana has been proven countless times to assist with certain medical conditions, such as reducing inflammation and reducing pain. Therefore, there are certain facilities within the United States that prescribe marijuana to patients. However, this only happens in the 23 states that have legalized marijuana which now includes Minnesota. In the other states, marijuana is illegal and any use of marijuana can lead to time in jail.
Minnesota Becomes the Next State to Legalize Marijuana
As of recent, Minnesota has recently joined the legion of states that have legalized marijuana across the United States. “Minnesota is now among the states where marijuana is legal for adults 21 and older — in a few months, at least,” according to MPR News. However, this new change will take time, as there are many things that need to fall into place in order to get this going. This includes building the locations, as well as finding people suitable for this job. Therefore, a couple of months will be needed to fully get this plan running.
There are other laws that have also shifted within the state of Minnesota. “Marijuana legalization now joins a slew of other progressive measures that Walz has recently authorized, including legislation that restores the voting rights of thousands of convicted felons and a measure codifying the right to abortion into state law,” according to CNN News. Therefore, this could be beneficial for the entirety of Minnesota.

The Future of Marijuana and Legalization
There are still many states that do not have marijuana legalized, and therefore people are penalized. However, there are many people wondering if within the near future, there will be changes to these laws, or if they will always stay the same.
