Phalanx Launches a New Tool

Today at 10:06 a.m., Phalanx Family Services launched its Heart & Health Portal. With this new portal adults can easily get help with TANF, SNAP, and employment.

Heart & Health Portal

The portal is extremely easy to use. just go to app.partnerforheartandhealth.com create an account and start using; It’s that easy. Once logged in people see a well-laid-out format. This makes navigating through the Heart & Health Portal a breeze.

To connect with Phalanx Family Services simply click on the program button and then the “Explore Heart & Health Programs” link in the middle. After that just click on Phalanx Family Services’ IDHS programs. Now you’ll receive updates and notifications.

The agency uploaded a video to allow individuals to get to know a bit more about them. In the video, Phalanx’s CEO, Tina Sanders, shared why she and her husband started the agency. “We had a vision, we had a dream,” she stated. “We wanted to provide wrap around services for underprivileged people who lived in various communities.”

Georgia Davis, an employee at Phalanx Family Services, said that “Phalanx did something called ‘Put Illinois To Work.'” The agency then hired several hundred young individuals in Chicago.

They have helped hundreds of youth, adults, and families since.

Heart & Health Portal the Latest Helpful Tool

All of Phalanx Family Services’ staff follow the company’s motto: “We work and We strive for the same goal.” One employee stated that “Phalanx stands for an army of people for the same goal.”

In my years here; when we all come as one we can do more in the community than I have witnessed in a long time.

Helpful Events

The agency uses a collaborative effort to uplift the community. They hold numerous family-based events all year long. For example, Back-to-School and a Bootacular event. Just before Thanksgiving, they handed out turkeys to those in need.

On December 3, Phalanx Family Services will be handing out 100 trees on a first-come-first-serve basis. This event will run from noon until 3 p.m. or while supplies last.

The agency will be handing out coats on Thursday, December 15 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (or while supplies last). Phalanx will give out one jacket to each adult and child present. Anyone in need of a coat must be present at the event held at 837 West 119th Street.

Use Heart & Health Portal at Home or on the Go

Heart & Health PortalPeople looking for adult services can now do so in person or on the Heart & Health Portal. This portal is an excellent tool for people to use. Individuals are able to connect to the programs they need easily with just a click of a button.

From the Heart & Health Portal’s dashboard people can click on:

  • Programs – shows you what programs you are following, Explore Heart & Health Programs, and Explore PbA Network Programs.
  • Communities – Connects you to any community you join, Explore Heart & Health Communities, and Explore PbA Network Communities.
  • Events – keeps you up to date on any informative or beneficial event/forum coming up.
  • Messages – lets you chat with programs on the Heart & Health Portal.
  • Bookmarks – allows you to save certain pages to your dashboard.
  • Journal – which allows you to keep notes.

The Heart & Health Portal also helps people with:

  • Financial Literacy.
  • Health.
  • Monitoring & Career Development.
  • And Parenting & Children.

Soon the Heart & Health Portal will offer people assistance with:

  • Small Business Development.
  • Advocacy & Social Justice.
  • Clinical Trials.
  • And Inspirations.

The Phalanx Family Services Adult Job Placement Programs Heart & Health Portal really has something for everyone. The best part about the Heart & Health Portal is that it is so simple to use.
