Israel and Palestine Conflicts
For a long time now, Palestine and Israel have been fighting a very damaging war. This war has costed the lives of millions of people, including innocent children. People in the United States continue to be outraged by the acts of Israel, bombing cities where children and innocent families reside. Therefore, there have been protests that have erupted as a result of these attacks, in support of Palestine.
There have been many videos that surface of families being torn apart by the violence that dominates these areas. There have also been several efforts to create a ceasefire. This ceasefire can at least evacuate the innocent citizens that reside in these areas.
Protests Erupt in College Campuses
College campuses around the United States have been notorious for having protests. These protests are in support of Palestine. Despite many Americans not having the ability to help with resources, they at least try to help spread awareness to the damage Palestine has had to endure. President Biden has also been made aware of the protests that have been taking place across the United States.
“[The president]’s, of course, aware of the protests — we know that this is a painful moment for many communities, we respect that, and we support every American’s right to peacefully protest, that’s something that we have been consistent about,” mentioned White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates.

Being able to protest is a right that is guaranteed to all Americans, and nothing should be done to deter them from that right. However, across the United States, such as California or New York, there have been instances where protests have had to be broken up by law enforcement. In addition, Columbia University had to switch to online classes as a result of the protests.
The Future of These Tensions
It is clear that tensions continue to escalate as the days go on. However, it seems that these protests will not stop anytime soon. There is absolutely nothing wrong with peacefully protesting, and that is what students in these college campuses across the United States are trying to do.
