The Big Divorce of the Year
Sofía Vergara’s and Joe Manganiello’s relationship has unfortunately finally come to an end, this year on July 2023. This separation was no surprise at all to the people in their inner circle. As they have mentioned that they were already growing apart from one another. According to Manganiello, regarding the documents, he listed the date of separation as of July 2, 2023.
In fact, they first announced their split on July 17 on social media, and the public was shocked and heartbroken by this news. They were a couple that got married in November 2015 and were deeply in love. According to insiders, they have mentioned, “I have never seen two people so in love, so passionate and so happy. There was a magical glow above their heads.”
Who is Sofía Vergara?
Vergara is a 51-year-old actress. She was born on July 10, 1972, in Barranquilla, Colombia. She has four other siblings, unfortunately, the oldest was murdered. Vergara also has 1 son named Manolo Gonzalez Vergara with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez. According to Vergara, the start of all of her success was when she encountered a photographer on a Colombian beach known as Santa Marta when she was 17 years old.
Fortunately, this moment led her to the desire of being in the media industry. It was actually the motive as to her start in pursuing her career in modeling and leaving behind her career in dentistry. In fact, in 2014, Vergara became a U.S. citizen, and the following year she was honored with a start on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Her first project via screen was when she did a Pepsi commercial for the Latin American markets. She got to accomplish this with the support of the photographer. This occurred before she fully took on her modeling career and even starred in a 1995 Mexican Telenovela called “Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma.”
Her Adversities
She has certainly been through a lot of hardships during her artistic career. Unfortunately, in 1998 her oldest brother that was shot to death in Colombia, because their family was targeted, for being a successful family, according to New York Post.
Furthermore, this was a moment in her life that definitely made an impact in her life, and things took a turn after this tragic incident. Vergara, in her mid 20s, decided that she was going to take her mother, sister, and younger brother to Miami, Florida.
Vergara’s Biggest Accomplishments and What She Is Best Known For
She has been in the media industry and in the public eye for a while now. As of this, she is pretty well known in the Latin community and also in America. One of her greatest roles and greatest success on television was her Emmy-nominated role as Gloria Delgado-Prichett on the series “Modern Family.” She has been part of a lot of different movies, series, shows, telenovelas, etc. As for all of her projects, she has received and been nominated for a lot of awards. What Is Happening Now After Marriage
Unfortunately, Vergara’s recent divorce is news that shocked their public because of how in love they seemed. Even after their love story that according to the couple they got engaged after only six months of dating in late December 2014. Which this demonstrates that this couple did not wait to deeper meet and know about each other, but if that their love was very strong in their beginning. This was after Vergara broke up with her last engagement with Nick Loeb that same year. After this, they got married on November 21, 2015. They had a very glamorous wedding with about 400 guests. Which included some co-worker friends from the Modern Family.
Despite their divorce, they are people that respect each other a lot. They would like for people to respect this phase that they are each going through. Meanwhile, Vergara is vacationing in Italy since she was celebrating her 51st birthday, according to posts she is sharing on Instagram.
However, they cited in their divorce the reason for their split is “irreconcilable differences.” As of this statement, they have now each parted their own way in life. In fact, Manganiello was the one that filed for divorce from Vergara after seven years of marriage. This couple is going to separate their assets, as they got married with a prenuptial agreement.
