Children Missing for Years
There have been two children that have been missing for several years and has barely come to light. This investigation had begun in January of this year, after they were formally reported missing. The two that were missing were believed to be siblings, a year apart. It is truly surprising how it has taken this long to finally take action. They were believed to be missing since 2018.
That is six years in which these two children were never found. The only reason in which they were able to be reported missing, was because of the welfare checks that were conducted. If not for that, this mystery may never have been solved, and these children would not have received the justice they deserve.
What Happened to The Persons of Interest?
The parents are now identified as Corena Minjarez and Jesus Dominguez. Minjarez is being held on a $2 million bond, and Dominguez still has additional charges pending. However, it is unclear if they are the parents, or have any related kin to the victims. Certainly, this will be investigated upon within the coming days.
The children were identified as Yesenia Dominguez and Jesus Dominguez Jr. Yesenia was found locked inside a metal container, meanwhile Jesus was found in locked in a suitcase in a scrapyard. It truly is abominable the condition in which these two innocent young children were found, and how they were abused maliciously in the final moments of their short lives.
The Future of This Case
There is a hope amongst the majority that these two suspects are tried to the fullest extent possible of the law. These two children should not have endured the torture that they did, and they should still be alive today.
It truly is saddening listening to the details of the crime. There is a hope that these children receive the justice that they deserve. However, nothing will ever be enough to bring these poor souls back.
This is a sign that there should be more done, and earlier, to ensure children are in a safe household, away from anything, or anyone, that can be a danger to them.
