Tensions Arising Worldwide
For a couple of years now, tensions have been rising across the world. They are reaching new boiling points for several different countries. Therefore, because of these tensions, there have been wars that are being carried out along the Middle East. This includes Russia attacking Ukraine, as well as Israel attacking Gaza. However, the U.S. has been trying to aid Ukraine, as well as aiding other countries in the Middle East that have been suffering.
Subsequently, Iran does not have a good history with the U.S. Therefore, as a result of these higher tensions, Iran has been trying to attack U.S. bases.
U.S. and U.K. Carry Out Strikes
The U.S. and U.K. have carried out strikes against Iranian-backed Houthis fairly recently. This was as a result of the Houthis carrying out attacks to waterways that are located by the Red Sea. Not only was this backed by the U.K. but this was backed by several other different countries as well.
U.S. President Joe Biden has made it clear that he will not back down and will take any necessary action to “protect our people” and “international commerce.” However, there will certainly be many negative repercussions as a result of the strikes that were carried out. They were able to damage 60 targets, across 16 Houthi locations.

The Future of These Tensions
It has been made aware that these tensions continue to escalate as the time goes on. The Middle East is already suffering with incredibly high tensions, as there are wars that are still ongoing today.
Therefore, the U.S. has been trying to stay out of the conflict, preventing any military action to the Houthis because of their actions. However, there needed something to be done, as many rely on the Red Sea waterways for many different things. Only time will tell the outcome of this situation, and if it will worsen as the time goes on.
