Kanye West, the artist better known as Ye, tweeted out recently after his ban regarding his anti-Semitic comments.
Posts After the Ban
He tweeted, “Testing, Testing, Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked.”
“Shalom : )” which means peace and harmony in Hebrew, he added.
Elon Musk is finally shining some light onto Twitter enforcing freedom of speech. The Chief Executive Officer of Twitter said on Saturday, that Twitter was going to add Donald Trump back onto the platform. Despite Trump’s unbanning, Ye wasn’t completely banned from Twitter. Instead, the company suspended his account, on October 10, for an unknown period of time after he made a series of anti-Semitic remarks that got out of hand, intimidating Jewish people and the rest of the media.
Who Unbanned Ye?
Musk replied, “Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me.”
He also replied to Ye’s announcement saying, “Don’t kill what ye hate Save what ye love.”
He stated that back in October that he wasn’t behind the restoration of Ye’s social media account. Twitter must have returned Ye’s account, said Musk.
Following his Twitter suspension recently, Ye has agreed to buy the social media platform Parler.
Trump’s Account
Trump, on the other hand, has not used the account yet. Musk made an online survey, which he has done in the past to gain support for his decision, and restored his account. With 52% voting in favor, Trump has become certain to return.
Musk said, “The people have spoken.” Then he declared to add him back.
“I don’t see any reason for it,” the previous president said through a clip when a panel at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting asked if he would return to Twitter.
He promised to stay with Truth Social, the app designed by his Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) startup.
