Kendrick Lamar has eight nominations because of his latest album, Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. “Most of my days are filled with transient ideas. Writing. Listening,” the rapper said. “My comfort zone has been disrupted by love, death, and sadness, but God speaks to me via my music and family. As the world around me changes, I consider what is most important.” Lamar took a break from the internet right after he published “DAMN” and went into a time of introspection to take care of his mental health.
Bad Bunny has made history by winning three nominations for his Spanish distinct album, Un Verano Sin Ti. It is now the first album entirely in Spanish to win an album of the year award.
Adele and Brandi Carlile tied for second place with seven nominations for their respective albums, 30 and In These Silent Days.
