A Colorado woman has been missing since Thanksgiving. Her fiancé was arrested on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, and charged with her murder.
Patrick Frazee is being held at Teller County Jail on a charge of murder in the first degree.
Frazee and the missing woman, Kelsey Berreth, share a 1-year-old daughter. Frazee had not publicly commented on his fiancé’s disappearance.
The 29-year-old woman was last seen in public at a Safeway grocery store with her daughter. They were in her hometown of Woodland Park, northwest of Colorado Springs. She was not reported missing until Dec. 2 by her mother Cheryl Berreth.
Frazee told investigators that he last saw her on Nov. 22, when she left their daughter with him. The couple did not live together.
Additionally, he told police that he last spoke with Berreth on Nov. 25, through a text message. Police stated on the same day, Berreth’s employer, Doss Aviation, received a message from her phone requesting time off from work.
According to Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young stated that on Nov. 25, Berreth’s phone had pinged to a location near Gooding, Idaho, 800 miles from her home.
Berreth’s mother lives in Idaho and said on “Today” that Gooding is not near her residence.
Last week, investigators searched Frazee’s 35-acre property, however, according to De Young, on Nov. 16, the search did not turn up any signs of the missing mother.
NBC News did not report what evidence pointed to Frazee as the murderer or what evidence led police to believe she had been killed.
